A guide to raised flower beds

Adding a raised flower bed to your garden instantly adds character and will make any area look the part. Simply level out the area using a shovel or rake and use treated timber or railway sleepers as a frame, to add sturdiness to your raised beds you can even dig a trench for the timber. Fill the inside of the frame with topsoil, add compost to the topsoil when it is dry so the flowers in the bed can flourish. Introduce Rockery Stone or gravel to their flower beds to add the stylish finishing touches to the area or even use Golden Gravel, Yorkshire Cream or quartz gravel around plants to hide the soil.
